Team 464 is proud to be a
supporter of the Rocket Kidz foundation.
The
Rocketkdiz Foundation is a fund whose mission is to battle
childhood obesity through multi-sport events and opportunities.
It was founded in late 2006 by Patrick Fellows as a means with
which to raise money to help put on events for Katrina razed
Mississippi Gulf Coast and South Louisiana. Through kids runs
and triathlon events, scholarships, as well as sponsorships of
like goaled events, the RKF looks to raise awareness and provide
a goal for kids to shoot for.
2009 events included
production of 2 Rocketkidz Triathlons and 2 runs, sponsorships
of the Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA's fitness summer camps as
well as it's Booster Rockets program aimed at training
underprivileged for the Rocketkidz triathlon.
